Recovery Monitoring

Monilabb created an advanced module for monitoring player recovery which actually stands at the core of the system. This module aims to investigate how your players response to the load applied and the level of readiness for the next activity. Daily Risk Score (DRS) calculated with an algorithm through objective and subjective data will allow you to take real time actions.

Risk Mapping

Monilabb Injury Risk Mapping module is another novel platform to visualize injury prone anatomical regions of all players by ratios. This platform combines and filters all data related to injury risk including player history, kinanthropometry, flexibility, range of motion, strength and stability. Monilabb IRM has been applied by many teams and athletes from different sports for more than 5 years and over 1000 times. Also, the reliability & validity research of underlying formula was presented at Neuroscience 2018 Congress.

Monilabb was structured between 2012 - 2013 on a preliminary study with an active 10 years of experience on sports science, medicine and technology. First beta version was developed through a busy and global collective process around 2 years; which has been tested in a Super League soccer team and TKBL basketball team during the whole season. It is then dedicated to the sector as a flexible software continuously improved with the feedbacks from active users and researches. Monilabb has been working with a soccer team that has joined Turkish Super League in 2014 with an increasing success each year and which got their first championship title in 2020. At first step, it was decided which technologies and scientific methods to be used by acting together with the Medical and Physical Performance Staff and then a sports science laboratory was established in the facility. In this lab, routine daily measurements have been made for 4 years and hundreds of thousands of data have been analyzed. Finally, in-club AI system has been created with both innovative and software updates. As a result of the AI-based analysis and the measures taken with the relevant departments in the lab, team has the highest availability and lowest injury statistics in the league while playing with the oldest aged squad in the last 4 years. In addition, team were also ranked in the first places in physical statistics such as total running and high speed running distances. Furthermore, considering that the cost of an injury of approximately 4-6 weeks for clubs in football is around 200-300.000 €, serious financial losses that may be experienced due to injuries have been also prevented. The concept created and implemented here continues to be explained to all audiences in Turkey with workshops and educations aiming to improve the use of sports and data science.
The Covid-19 pandemic has deeply affected all sports organizations. As a result all countries and federations have published their own Return to Sports protocols. In the current situation, which still contains uncertainties, each team, federation and the health ministries should act in cooperation. According to the protocols published, Covid-19 measures, risk and positive case managements should be maintained with correct communication over a centralized network. Upon this requirement, Monilabb has implemented the Covid-19 Tracking Platform for federations and clubs. The platform will guide the teams for carrying out a regular daily follow-ups and managing the risks that may arise due to “possible” and “positive” case scenarios with automated alerts. Symptom tracking, illness surveillance process, protocol compliance and medical reminders will be controlled from a central hub which is also secured for sensitive information. Platform will also ensure the teams to apply and maintain systematic testing procedures according to local, UEFA or FIFA protocols. Monilabb is aiming to support each club and federation for a safe Return to Sports during pandemic.
